Silverstone Single Seater Experience - Sunday 15 Jan 2012
Learn even more about the difference between a fast road car and a genuine, bespoke racing machine. What counts here is low-mass, high power-to-weight ratio and aerodynamics. After only a few laps of our specially designed Stowe Circuit your abilities will quickly develop, providing the skills needed to make the most of your laps behind the safety car and then on your own. These bespoke, race-prepared cars produce 140bhp and can accelerate from 0-60mph in less than five seconds. But that's only half the story. The astonishing cornering grip, direct steering and remarkable ability to change direction will give you a new-found respect for your F1 heroes and an unquenchable appetite for more. Participants need to have held a full driving licence for at least a year which must be presented on the day. 30 minutes briefing on circuit driving techniques 20 minutes: First driving session (with pace car) 20 minutes: Second driving session (without pace car) 15 minutes debrief and certificate presentation Event duration: 2 hours My girlfriend booked this for me - now my work commitments have changed (i'll be on a short visit to Afghan at the time ) and Silverstone won't let me reschedule it. They will, however, allow me to change the name of the driver but my girlfriend isn't up for it so I thought I'd offer it on here, particularly given the time of year. Cost £175, yours for £120.
