Mine is too quiet yet for diagnoses or investigation apart from making sure the oils were all topped up correctly. Takes a long drive before it makes the noise, has to be warm I suppose and is very feint but the mechanic noted there was something coming from over his left shoulder when in the passenger seat. Good news is that it is coming from the rear so not gearbox Very Happy

We agreed to wait until the noise can be heard properly before it is looked at. I'm towing 2 tonnes 700miles this summer so that should makes things worse!

Really enjoying a warranty for the first time Very Happy

They took the tc out and had a good look, whilst they replaced my rear main....these guys are not LR, they are very well regarded specialists here in Brisbane (MR automotive)....they say it's normal....I believe them. If it were LR saying it, I probably would be sceptical! If it does break after warranty, I'll fix it myself....what do they say about anything with an engine or breasts?....

The reason I hadn't heard it before was that I used to run mud tyres.
