Wading kits?
Does anyone know if land rover do a wading kit? I want to know if they do all the pipe work from the axles/gearbox etc.
If so, any idea of part numbers. This would be for the 2.2 but I wouldn't think it would be much different from the 2.4 or maybe even the td5?
The dealer I ve asked only knows of the raised air intake Rolling Eyes

No there is no LR kit for the 2.4 or 2.2 because LR says you cant wade over the hubs. In fact I think they say 50 mils is the max. Saves on all those warranty claims for Censored carpet and batteries

gwyn lewis makes one but do bear in mind that to get breathers on everything means that you have to drop the gearbox.

Bear in mind that unless you plan to sit in water for quite a while you really dont need breathers - I've never had them and been in all kinds of water, but never had any issues with diff oil or gearbox oil or anything similar.

I would advice to make sure you seal the battery box though with RTV paying particularly attention to the cable exits

50mils! - 500mm you mean although as you elude to 50mm may be more suitable!

you can extend them all your self. just get some 6mm pipe with male to male push fit connectors and extend them to where ever you wish.

personally for anything i intend to wade with i extend both axles, timing cover, t box, autobox (one front and back to allow for sat on slopes).

Battery box i tend to leave open, it will get in anyway so may as well leave just as quickly. Cheers
