Onboard compressor
Has anyone had an onboard compressor fitted to a Puma? Would appreciate any comments on suitable places it could be fitted and recommendations on which manufacturer.

I got an ARB high output compressor (For ARB locker and to inflate tires as well) and I would like to fit it under the hood. NOt sure where yet.

It's a good little compressor, it will pump up 4 x 285/75r16 mud tyres from flat in no time at all.
You need to keep the engine running on the car it's being powered from ideally, as it uses a fair few amps.
There are bigger and better compressors available, but for £75 plus a tenner delivery and the good reports from the "Landy nuts" I thought I would give one a try.

I need to move mine from vehicle to vehicle so it is not permanently mounted, I'm sure someone on here has a good idea where to fit it.
Or already has one fitted.

Just place it with the battery and make some cables with some proper connectors (name escapes me...but the grey ones used on jump leads or winches)

Then fit 2 connectors on the cars you want to use it to...job done Mike

This is also one of my next buys.. I need one, after this last weekend, when my wife's Subaru Impressa's rear tire deflated. I walked down to where she parked it, and then looked inside here trunk box with all of the kit I put inside for her. No can of tire inflation that I had put inside??? I then walked to a garage, and their air compressor wasn't working.. I then walked to the local store to see if I could find something.. nothing.. I found a guy with a mini, and I mean mini compressor. I half way aired up the tire and slowly drove up to my place 1 km away. I changed the tires to Summer tires, and then drove down the mountain to the next station.. I plug in the hose to the tire, and before I could stop it, half of the air was gone. Their compressor was broken.. I then got into the car and drove slowly to the next station where I aired up the tires, and drove home.. I decided then and there, i needed a compressor myself.
