When I had my spankers new 90 I had it delivered. As it was purchased through the mil discount system I worked it out it was way cheaper for them to deliver. It was paid for up front and then delivered, full check was done at my place of work and I only signed the paperwork and accepted it when I was happy.
Nothing like buying a brand new car and being the first person to have a real drive in it  .
It wais the only car I have ourchased from new, very strange seeing the logbook with no previous owners and only my name there. But it's now long gone and been replaced with a D3 and couldn't be happier 110 D250 SE HT

There must ones closer to you, surely? If not, or not the right one, or right money etc, why not just fly up? if you cant make that work get the train. Where is the vehicle anyway? If it's near me I would go and check it out for you and I'm the fussiest git in the world.

Mike - very kind of you! It's at the VW Van centre in Preston PR2 5PY. No worries at all if it's too far. Oddly enough there aren't many like this one around - the 180PS 4 Motion and some are coming up at a higher price with 15k on the clock. It's a good price and he has three of them! Have you tried the VW website or VWcampers.com?
I got mine from vw campers, dident like the guy, but probabally dont like anyone who gets all that cash from me! I sold it 2 years later and got the same money back as i paid for it, result! The accessories, which you will need cost an arm and a leg too, the cover for the roof is a must in any weather as rain with wind mixed in will just leak through it, when you roll over in the night,  wet through.
We sold it, as it just dident do it for family camping, too small. Pefect for just two, you and the mrs. We toured scotland in it, loved it, but when it was full of us and the kids, it was hell. Especially in the british weather. Personally i wouldent bother with the 4 moation job, just go for the 185 bhp version with climate control, side awning and privacy glass. Sat nav is crap. |
