Confirmed price from a dealer today, accepted, it goes on Friday.
The head is pleased because it's a good price, the heart is a little sad to see it go. Still not 100% decided on the California yet - it's up in Preston so the logistics are a little tricky, the dealer slightly annoyed us by offering a terrible p/x price then dithered even on that and now we are fully cash buyers, I feel he need to "do some more work" on price/delivery/whatever. We shall see. Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

I have a friend who delivers vehicles. He charges 200 a day plus train ticket back if any good to you. He lives just outside preston

I bought my T5 van from preston in 2006. the wierdest train journey i have ever taken. Sat between a monk and a nun! we discussed Christ, dress codes and VW's all the way. Jesus drives a samba Phone around, theres plenty out there |

Cheers TI6 and Mike - not had a new vehicle delivered before. Anyone done car transporting on a new one? Not keen on getting it driven and I'd rather put the first miles on it! How about inspection/payment? Clearly don't want to front £45k if it's not 100% right. Spot the naive goon! Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

get a lift and pick it up in person, its not every day you pop 45k on a tent with wheels. You want to make sure its right. I wouldn't want the 19year old yts lad spanking it down the motorway to deliver it personally.
Pom ps you do know a double bed fits into the back of a disco right. |
