Odd problem with the Puma
Earlier this week my wife was going somewhere in our Puma. She stopped to check if there was something in the back that she ment to pack. While she was standing with the backdoor open she saw a man running across the field towards her. (We live in a rural area). She assumed that he thought she was in trouble. When he reached her he asked could he have a look at the fine "wagon". (We are talking about the Puma here.) He asked could he get in. She said yes so he removed his dirty yellow trousers before he got in. When my wife was telling me this I was rolling around on the floor at this stage. Anyway he proceded to look at all the new knobs , as she put it-I kid you not. Anyway he was most impressed with my "wagon".This is not an isolated occurance. Men frequently stop to talk to my wife about the Puma. Should I be worried?
Regarding the wife if she were a car she would qualify for vintage status. Bodywork is not bad considering the age factor. Regarding servicing, enough said.
Anyone else had this problem.? 1982 88" 2.25 diesel

I know that story. Defenders are for men because everybody looks at the wagon. So, be worried. Puma 110" SW

Some time ago my wife (she uses the defender as a daily car) going to put fuel to the Defender and had a nice dialog with the helper in the gas station.

Helper: This is your car?

My wife: yes its mine

Helper: but I mean is YOUR car?

My wife (trying to understand the meaning of the question): Yes it is MY car

Helper: but you really driving it?

My wife (understanding the mean): YES, this is my car. This is not my husband car and I didnt stoled to him to go to the supermarket. And I drive it. I'm going to the mountains, to the forest, I pass through the mud, cross rivers and I going were I like.

Helper: Ahhhh! Eduardo
