Tinted Windows (Masai) Fitting Question
Hello everyone,

I like these Masai tinted windows

http://www.masai-land-rover.com/defender/t...ct=5368242

and was wondering if it was possible to fit them without removing the sliding side window frames. I.e. just replacing the glass. Can this be done with the sliding side windows in a 2008 Defender?

Has anyone fitted the Masai windows and can say anything about them?

Cheers and a happy New Year's!
Boris

assuming you are talking about the tints and not the paranormal glass .. at £450 it might be worth considering having film fitted .. this has the additional benefit of making the glass stronger and if it is broken it will stick to the film.

I had my td5 rear windows (sides x4 and rear x3) for £250 ish ...

Mmm,, mot so sure about his comment

Quote:
The tint is factory-prepared – the glass is actually tinted and not a stuck on film which can peel off – film is not simple to apply in any case as the glass has to be removed

None of my windows, bar the 2 small rears were removed on the last 3 110's i have had done, that are a Censored to do, but no problem to a decent tint man ??

As for it peeling off,, When i sold my 07, the buyer did not want the tints, and was not that easy to get it off !! BUT at least you have the option with film and about half the price California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1

yer the good thing with the masai ones are they are panoramic glass so if scratched unlike film it want peel and look crappy, but i am 99% sure you cant just change the glass peice you have to remove the whole window which on later landys are bonded in as bpman said best bet is to tint save the hassle go with a proper company you cant go wrong Thumbs Up heres pic of dads old 110 this was tinted film and cost £250 for all windows including fronts and alpine's in roof
