Your choice.
235 standard fit and best all round performance and slightly cheaper. 265 for looks and........

I'm sure others will advocate the supposed benefits Rolling with laughter

Thanks Steve

My local stockist has around 50 265s in stock, but 235s are on back order.

Need to know what negatives there are for going to the slightly wider 265

None really ... it is all down to personal choice. worse you may need to do is adjust your steering stops slightly to prevent them catching the radius arms on full lock [simple to do, takes a few minutes]

I run 235's on my Defenders for over 12+ years, started using 265 about 8/9 years ago simply as i think they look better. I've not noticed any handling or performance difference whatsoever, on or off road. Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

I once met a guy who ran Land Rovers entertainment and corporate days etc and he said 235's are the best all rounder by miles and anything else was for show... thats why i run 265's! 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

I am also planning to change tires and wheels of my land. I would prefer the standard 235/85R16 size for BF Goodrich All Terrain , but I have some doubts concerning the wheels. Basically the choice is between Modular and Wolf wheels. Wolf are my favorite, but: 1) they should be painted; 2) on Paddock web site it is marked that “it is sometime necessary to purchase extended wheel studs”. Is this true also for Puma? Modular are already painted and cheaper, but less robust (even if probably well adapted for standard use).
Any suggestion? Rolling Eyes

There are other threads on this, but YES you do need new studs with Wolf rims. DONT listen to anyone saying that they have had Wolfs on standard studs and had no problems......yet ! The Wolf rim is heavier than standard rim this partly due to steel being thicker especially in stud hole area, hence need for longer studs. I dont think I need to go into insurance and the fact that you've been advised to fit them by supplier. Yes they are covering themselves, but dont you want to cover yourself too ?!
