I have fought the district council to provide our parish with grit and won, we have been given 4te of grit / sand mix in 1te jumbo bags located strategically around our parish. Yesterday after a 3" snow fall a fellow coucillor was berated for not spreading the salt out side a residents house.
The average person in uk is a bone idle grabbing "what's in it for me" type of person, but fortunately there is a core 6% who give a dam and make an effort. As a Parish Councillor my collegue is prevented from saying "try FDIYS" ![]() ![]() ![]() I could rant for hours...... Richard 130 Puma HCPU with an Artica 240LR Demountable Camper |

In Germany you are allowed to take grit out of the bins but ONLY to get your car out of trouble. Not allowed to use it for any other reason, e.g. on public paths etc. (even though you are legally obliged to grit them yourself). I once needed it to get off sheet ice many years ago and still got nagged by passers by! Always keep some in the cars now

Not sure I have anything to rant about
![]() D3 and my 90 are working perfectly. Just secured a brilliant job earning more money than when I was serving in the Army but only 6 months work a year. I can now afford all the things that I have had to forgo this last 12 months. The only downside is I have more free time to spend the money ![]() If I had to have a rant it would be lack of snow. Hopefully there will be some on Exmoor soon so I can go and play. 110 D250 SE HT 110 USW SOLD RRE HSE Dynamic Gone, wife killed it VOLVO XC60 R Dynamic with some toys Polaris RZR 900XP SOLD |

I could see snow in the hills in South Wales when in Bristol last week. And it tried to snow on the way back! Nice one on the job! ![]() |

Rant over! went into Guy Salmon Bristol. Left the kids in the playroom and we took a look in the workshop. I have a 2012 spec car...confirmed....they put too much waxoil in the cavity of the capping. Looks just like rust when all down the side but it's quite well covered on mine. Happy days |

We had a few nights of snow last week but it only lasted a few hours. Nothing worth getting the 90 out for.
Thanks ref the job. It has been a long 10 months bouncing between pants jobs that were on an ad hoc basis. Glad to have something a bit more permanent. Surprising how little money you can survive on when needs must. And it's doing a job very similar to what I did when I was serving. So same sort of ethos, same banter, all other employees are Ex RE and the company are brill to work for. ![]() ![]() 110 USW SOLD RRE HSE Dynamic Gone, wife killed it VOLVO XC60 R Dynamic with some toys Polaris RZR 900XP SOLD |
