A word of warning, in your situation do not get in and start the engine to warm up and wander off! Just in case central locking locks itself with your only readily available key fob in your locked car with engine running!
Guess who has that tshirt! Except spare was available. Part of problem is ice in lock causing problems with opening door. Also partof the central locking mechanism can catch on inside of door card/is too long/short. Can not remember exact details but your dealer should fix it under warrenty. Brendan |

thanks for the tips and hints, i wont be taking it to my local dealer, lindacre, as it normally comes out with more faults than it go`s in for and comes with the standard line of "well it is an agricultural vehicle sir" tw*ts !
anywho, i shall remove said door cards at the weekend as it did it again to me this morning. LIFE`S TOO SHORT TO DRIVE A BORING VEHICLE |

Me too! Halfway through fitting the CheckTemp, the key was in the ignition (switched off) and I walked round teh car from the passenger door to the driver door, and as I passed the back of the vehicle, the car locked!
It had done this a couple of times before, but the key was in my pocket, adn I assumed that something (ooo err) had pressed against the fob and caused it to lock. Only seems to happen in cold weather. I realised how easy it was to break into a Defender...with a wire coathanger - I was inside in 3 mins Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's) |
