I'm only 5'10" and they are brilliant for me too - much better driving position and able to rest elbows better on window and centre cubby (also raised)  Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

Hence, have not found the need to go for any rails, and TBH quite confused about the need for 'em.

Do you have a long neck?
