Rear Passenger Door Seals
Anyone got good tips for keeping rear passenger door seals on 09 USW where they are supposed to be?

We don't use rear passenger doors very often but they were a right PITA yesterday when we had passengers. . Got chewed up by the door closing as well.

Can see a visit coming onto main dealers saying fit new door seals which actually stay put.

Had a similar issue with the rear door seal on my 90, bottom left hand side! Removed the seal cleaned off the area, small bead of Sikaflex adhered the seal to the frame and liberally coated the door with silicon based grease to prevent the door from snagging it and pulling it off when closing. No issues since as the seal forms to the correct profile eventually. If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!!

Hi Brendan

I don't have a problem with them staying put, front and rear leak like sieves though Laughing

Try taking the seal off and gently closing the inner edge with a pair of pliers or grips. This should close the u shaped inner metal lip and keep it in place.

Good luck Thumbs Up

Shocked

I have the same issue on the left hand rear passenger door of our 07 USW! although can't imagine it's only these models which suffer this problem!!! we use our rear doors all the time for our nippers and is now becoming a royal PITA! Will give the gum gum a shot or failing that the silkaflex and if they fail some new seals.

Cheers for crimbo card too Brendan and Barbara Thumbs Up Sweep
