Grasmere Green!
Personally, I love it, having had both a Heritage Defender 90, as well as a 75th Anniversary 90 663. So... I have to ask the question... Why is Grasmere Green loved on the Heritage with matching Grasmere Green wheels... but seemingly 'hated' or at the least divisive on the new Defender 663 75th Anniversary, where in particular, the Grasmere Green wheels attract SO much criticism?! I don't get this love/hate duopoly... Grasmere Green has so much anecdotal history with respect to Landrover! I would really like to understand the rational about this divergance...!? Cheers all, Pete :>) YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Beauty is in the eye beholder... to me that colour combination doesn't go well with the L663, a bit mint aero.
Objectively, it was over 10k USD more expensive than the HSE which it was based on.. for a bit of paint and some stickers. That just reeked to me. 22MY Defender 110 D300 S in Pangea Green and Contrast White Roof IG defender_japan "Hulk san" |

I’m personally not a fan of it. Feels like it’s just there, right in your face!

I've got a 75th Anniversary 110 edition and am very pleased with it. Yes, not everyone's cup of tea, but I just love it and that's all that counts really....

I think part of the reason is that some folks that are shopping/buying the new Defender are not necessarily Traditional Land Rover enthusiasts and have no idea the historical connection with the Grassmere Green color.

Zeke, agreed.
I have to say that I learnt how to drive in a LR Light Weight 51 years ago while in the army and have used them working globally since them. So I've always had a soft spot for them and have owned quite a few LRs over the years. At my age it's only a toy so I like the connection with the legacy of the brand. On on! |
