I think proper Freelander replacement is where they’re heading with it. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

It seems that the purists were right, anything is a defender now!

I'm nearly 100% certain this is a "Defender Sport" prototype based on the rear haunches, as well as the rear bumper design and fender flares. Will most certainly be an EV, as its based on the EMA platform that JLR confirmed will be EV-only and produced at the Halewood facility.

I’m hearing from reliable sources that once the ‘baby defender’ is launched the 90 will be no more.
If this is the case I think LR are missing a trick, but I’m sure sales figures say otherwise. ![]() |

The 110 seems more popular round here.

And it will be a real shame, just if the 90 had the rear seats 25 cm further forward, which I believe is totally possible given the space that exists, it would increase its sales x100, I would have been one of them without going any further... but that boot, more similar to that of a MINI is only for the very staunch LR fans, I'm afraid!! Missed the boat or not, they're still selling as many 90's as they can make.

90 is still a big seller, quite a few around my area now, initially it was 110 but 90 is more and more common. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

I saw a heavily disguised vehicle around that size parked up in a lane in Gloucestershire a couple of weeks ago....used to see a lot of Land Rover "test cars" around here

With a lot of pet owners I guess they were testing its ‘dogging’ capabilities in that lane then……
