Just a post to say how simple yet effective this remapping/coding and more cable + free software are to use. Bagged one for £123 direct. Checked my MAF / MAP etc as the remap I've had for over a decade is a bit hooligan smokey (I did ask for this!) at MOT. Found all ok. Nothing untoward. Had no idea without diagnostics.
What I was happy with, and mostly why I'm posting this, was how Empire sent me a bog standard TD5 ECU file for free to roll mine back to standard for further checks and to help it sail through the MOT. Yes, it drives flat as a fart now, but it's given me the steps I need to take to sort the smoke issue and helped keep it on the road. I can flash the decent remap back onto the motor at my discretion. All stored on my laptop and the cloud just incase my laptop bricks it. Cheers.
