Front axle and brake parts replacement

Evening all.

I have a pretty standard 2004 TD5 110 CSW, albeit on Yokohama 265/75R16 tyres and steel wheels, which it came with when purchased. i use it only as a road going vehicle so don’t need the extreme off-roading kit. That said, I prefer quality parts so my TD5 is maintained to “well-sorted” standard. I’m happy to make sensible upgrades as long as they make sense and they’re cost effective.

It’s time to replace some running gear and I wondered if anyone could recommend some replacement parts covering:-

1.Brake discs/pads. Are Terrafirna okay for road use? Who else?)
2. Swivel hub kits. (Ideally the whole lot including the ball)
3. Axle drive flanges. Standard or upgraded? There seems to be quite a few products on the internet.

If doing 2 & 3 above, what else would you change while it’s being worked on?
