Service interval reset using IID Tool
Hi folks.

How do you reset the service interval using the GAP G4 BT IID tool?

Thanks in advance.

You don’t need the tool. Just do this

RESET SERVICE (GAP TOOL NOT REQUIRED)
Open driver door. Leave open
Pull bonnet hatch
Press start stop
Press and hold down brake pedal
Wait 2 seconds. Fully press and hold accelerator pedal.
Wait upto 30 seconds until service reset message appears MY25 D350 Defender 110 X, Carpathian Grey, 7 Seat, Electric Towbar

Yup, did that a couple of times, but it’s still coming up with service due in 850 miles message, even after it says service reset Big Cry

Thanks for that, but where is it in the menu? I looked at the obvious headings, but couldn’t find a service/ reset option?

I also had the service reset problem, the door bonnet thing would only last 24 hours. I really don't know what got rid of it in the end I tried a few random things. There is a dashboard relearning routine I tried that may have done it? Or maybe it has to wait for the due time AND miles before it will reset?

Anyhow it's gone for now. MY23.5 SE Defender

There are two levels or types of service reset, there is the oil change only service and the full service , both show on your touch screen in the car, have any of them changed ?

You can do it with the gap tool but need to email Patrick at gap and ask him to add it to your tool through a firmware update.

I’m in conversation with Patrick now. Just waiting on a response after emailing him and showing what options I had available Wink
