Replacement carpet piece.
Following a bit of a door leak, the passenger side footwell carpet is now smelly and out of the vehicle.
I can't find anywhere that sells just part of the carpetset and don't want to spend on a full replacement set.
I'm thinking about using dynamat. It's beneath a carpet mat so won't be noticeable.
Is this worthwhile or is there a better alternative? It's on the side my wife sits, so apparently an old offcut isn't allowed!

Do a search for car upholsterers in your area, give a few of them a call to see how much it will cost for them to make the piece you want, using existing as a template. If it’s just making it , it should be quite cheap.
Alternatively if that turns out pricey, do a search for rug / carpet makers in your area and see if they can make a replacement in correct material and colour.

Wash it, allow it to dry thoroughly (and if necessary give it a dose of Febreze or similar). My carpet mats go through a cycle of periodically getting wet, stinking, getting removed, being dried and freshening up, getting replaced in the vehicle then the whole cycle repeats. Now I tend to leave them out over winter and (maybe) replace during summer.

The smell does go provided that they are not actually rotting.
