They seem quite good - had the Landy MOTd there and also had a BM headlight bulb replaced (on xenons) for a mere £12! Called them and they are happy to fit new lights. Should arrive on Monday. Defender 110XS SW gone... now VW California 180 4 Motion. |

*EPIC FAIL*
Went to take the light guards off to get to the headlights and the bloody screws were stripped. With a bit of muscle i finally got them off though. Got the headlamp cover off, side lights, and headlamps out only to find that the f'n metal headlamp cover that holds the lamps in place was rusted to the bone. Couldn't justify putting brand new headlamps into that so i put the old ones back in. Guess its a trip to LR today to get new ones GRRRRRRrrrrr |

Scottish - headlamp bezels are notorious for rusting away unfortunately. Before you fit the new ones, get some ACF 50 or similar and give them a liberal coating. Hopefully that will prevent the new ones from going the same way as quickly 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

It will eventually wash out with the rain/salt/dead flies/stone chips etc etc.. Another option is to get new bezels and rub them down to bare metal, only takes about 10mins a side. Once bare give them a couple of coats of POR-15. I did this to mine and they are still black with no rust a year later. |
