My 110 won't start
Hi, I've just replaced my bulkhead on my 2999 td5 110 and all went good, until trying to start her?? It will crank over but no sound from fuel punp, no engine light and temp gauge goes immediately up to red?? I've checked the fuel pump relay 👍 and I haven't went bead the back of the Defender when doing the Bulkhead, so it must be up front? The previous owner had lots of dodgy wiring for spot lights and a alarm, I removed all these and was left with basic defender loom, I'm no electricians 😕 so if you can help me in layman terms I would be very grateful.
Thank you

removing the alarm may have upset the inbuilt immobiliser

Yes I'm starting to think that? Everything else is working lights, wipees etc, starter and battery are strong, I just can't figure out why the fuel pump and the engine light are not working??? It's recking my head 🤪

With the temp gauge going into the red, it sounds like it might possibly be an earth problem. Have you reconnected the bulkhead earth wires where you must have disconnected them, ie in the engine bay etc, just a thought,

Ashby Andy 👍

Thanks everyone, yet I've been checking the earth's I will get the wiring diagram and double check, these wiring diagrams are not easy to follow, unless your an auto electrician, which I am definitely not 🤔. Where is the emergency fuel cut off switch??

Fuel cut off is on the bulkhead just about and to the right of the clutch resivoir (viewed from the front)

Edit.... Between the coolant resivoir and air box
