Defender refresh?
I heard from a UK dealer that there will be a refresh for the Defender in May. New lights, bumpers and larger central screen. Has anybody heard the same?

No haven’t heard anything, wouldn’t have thought they’d change much. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue

I doubt it very much, having recently come out in 25 MY, with subtle changes... although when it comes to JLR, who knows, anything is possible….but, On the other hand, aesthetic changes to the lights on the bumpers, etc., would make the Octa obsolete before reaching the dealers, and those who pay 200,000, would not be very happy….so..doubt it even more…. Defender 110 SE I6 D250 23MY

Perhaps they meant the longtime-rumored "Defender Sport" that's supposedly been in the works?

Not a release of course but a sneak-peak of sorts perhaps. 2022 Defender 110 SE P400 Tasman Blue Expedition and Cold weather package

Very unlikely. If a major facelift was in the works, you would've seen prototypes running around on public roads in the UK, at the Nürburgring, cold weather testing in the arctic etc. by now. I wouldn't expect a full facelift until at least the 2027-2028MY. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟏𝟎 𝐒 𝐏𝟑𝟎𝟎 (Pangea Green over Acorn/Lunar)

The Evoque got a subtle update after about four years.

The Defender, for what it represents, I think it is destined for a different kind of treatment, it should be destined to be what it claims to be, an emblem, something different, and I think that if JLR treats it like any other model it will be wrong, it is not what it is selling us!! Defender 110 SE I6 D250 23MY

It could explain why there’s a lack of decent discounts on the Defender as any new order placed now would receive a refreshed model. Having said that refresh cycles are always in the press months and months before release.
I’d be gutted as only got my car 1st March.

When the New Defender was first introduced, JLR communicated that refresh times will be twice as long compared to the other models. So, I believe that we still have some time to go.

To be honest I had heard sometime back that Disco 6 would be before any Defender real change?

Interestingly that’s JLR’s dilemma - a surprising number of Discovery owners have moved into Defender ownership so the Discovery now has a weird position in the range. Will be interesting to see what they do with the next Discovery seeing based on this.

In terms of the Defender it’s impressive how fresh they still look without any tweaks or cosmetic updates so far. Having just purchased mine, it would be a shame if they refreshed it right now but that’s the way these things can happen! 2025MY Defender 90 D250 X-Dynamic HSE | Santorini Black with Black Pack

From a recent article I read they say they are looking to ID Buzz and other people carrier type vehicles for Discovery 6. 24MY 90 D250 HSE, Tasman Blue
