Front Drive Shaft Thread Size
I have fitted Ashcroft HD Drive Flanges to the front of my 2014 D90 CSW and both sides were tight to fit (light tap with copper mallet).

So this resulted in the half shaft being pushed back into the hub, I managed to move the shaft back to its correct postion to re-fit circlip, however i had to remove one of the 2 shims to fully locate the circlip.

I want to try and see if the half shaft is in the correct position by making up a small puller to see if it can come forward slightly to allow re-fitting the original shim pack.

I tried my stock of metric stud bolts but none fitted, I suspect it is either fine pitch metric or imperial. Does anyone know what thread this is in the red circle?

IIRC, it’s the same size thread as the HT fixings on the drive flanges.

That’s what I seem to remember anyway. WeWillWin🇬🇧🇺🇸

7/16" BSW (British Standard Whitworth) - 14tpi. Who would not have guessed that !

Don’t you just love our vehicles, a mixture of BSW, UNF (probably a UNC somewhere), and Metric in corse and fine. With even the fine in two varieties. Plus the Bolt heads can be non standard for the bolt size.

I guess that’s what happens when a vehicle evolves between 1948 and 2016. Very Happy
