[For Sale] Discovery 2 TD5 Auto - Es Premium
I am regrettably putting my fantastic D2 up for sale.

I have owned for 4 years and genuinely want to keep it, however we have found my wife is using it more than me and she has requested a 'newer' model so we have bit the bullet and bought a D4.

2003 TD5 Auto, ES Premium, retains all the ES premium bits but i have fit a bluetooth headunit to replace the factory sat nav.

Heated seats, electric seats, black leather interior, Air con, 7 seater.

132k miles with a fantastic service history, bought my me on 116k and think its now had 4 documented services since i got it, including all diffs, transfer box fluids changed.

12 months ago it has a rebuilt Ashcroft gearbox along with a V8 torque converter.

Engine, great engine, starts first time everytime. In my ownership i have done the following work mechanically, not always needed but as a preventive measure.
New injector loom Autumn 2024 - genuine LR
New Fuel pressure reg Jan25
New fuel filter housing jan 25 - genuine LR
New fuel pump August 22 - genuine LR
New MAP and MAF sensors - genuine LR
New Radiator - August 24
New Aux belt and pulley - August 24
Injector seals were done in 2023
Every service in my ownership has consisted off all filters and oil
Engine is remapped by Storm Tuning and has been decat
Had a new front prop in 2023

Body - Straight body work, few minor marks and small scuffs/scratches but certainly still very presentable. New inner rear mudflap brackets fitted last year.

Upgrades - whilst trying to maintain the look of s standard D4 i have done minor things to improve it, Terrafrima dampers all round, new solid steering arms to the front, uprated watts linkage.

The rear 1/4 chassis was completely replaced with a new one approx 3 years ago, the chassis wasn't terrible but i wanted to sort it before it got any worse.

Tyres are BFG KO2's done approx 12,000 miles. 13 pin electrics to the rear, air suspension and ACE still 100% working, new dunlop bags and height level sensors have been fitted when chassis done.
Headlining has been retrimmed and sunroofs resealed and cleaned at same time. Disco 1 wiper conversion, new front fog lights to freshen it up, headlight were removed off an 80,000 mile D2 and swapped over so no fading to them. I have 2 keys for it. Full V5 in my name and it has 11 months MOT.

I think it's a cracker personally, i am hoping for £5500 ono

registration will be removed and i am happy to let all my D2 spares go with it as part of the sale.

It is booked in for a full valet on 14th March. i can then add more pictures.

thanks

Great car, had one and loved it. You clearly are no stranger to "involved ownership", I hope your D4 will treat you well, I had a few and my D4 tdv6 is the only car that cratered on me mid journey without warning (crank) and was too impossible to fix and thus had to be sold at great loss (money and pride).

Good luck with the sale, the next owner should be feeling luckily to get a well looked after vehicle.
