thank you so much! As for the dealer's response, instead of strange, I would define it as stupid, it is simply a stupid response. Greetings to Australia!! Defender 110 SE I6 D250 23MY

Not really stupid in my opinion.
The car had a random software issue which you solved by pulling a fuse then putting it back in. Not an action that's normally recommended as it can cause all sorts of issues in itself. Well done for finding the fault though. |

I agree with you, and that would be great if I went to the dealership,as it was, which is the only one around here for 200 km each way, and they would have tried to fix it for me, but no, instead they gave me an appointment 15 days late and threw me out on the road with my car with no climate control available, a small blast of cold air and nothing else, with freezing temperatures at night and continuous fogging of the glass... What would you have done, apart from finding a solution yourself? The dealership can't offer me anything afterwards, having shown such a low level of empathy, I think..I think what bothers them is that their lack of interest translates into a client looking for a way out and leaving them in shameful evidence, that makes them uncomfortable and that's where the threats come from, deplorable behavior!!
..I also don't understand what harm I can cause by checking a fuse that is accessible from the passenger compartment and is described in the user manual... a section where I have not seen a written heading of the type: NEVER PAY ATTENTION DURING THE WARRANTY PERIOD... no, nothing like that... therefore the dealer's comment, if they really mean it, which I doubt, seems to me to be inappropriate as a consequence of a manifestly negligent action with a product under warranty that they should have fixed on the fly by connecting their diagnostic system... and it would have taken them just a few minutes to do so, you know that….and Still, I tried it, I spent a week driving like that, under those conditions... and it wasn't fun!! Yes l agree, when you spend so much on a vehicle you expect better treatment than that.

I think so…and I must insist, I did not do a forced disconnection, from the battery, or a hard reset or anything like that, I simply isolated a unit from a certain component that was hanging and thus restarted its functionality, nothing more, I do not know how this can reach other components…. I doubt it, let me say, and, on the other hand, if this module has a previous fault, it should not be an obstacle to know it, the fault should be registered in the system, I do not see any problem in that… even so, on Monday we will find out… I do not think there will be other records except the typical communication error between modules or control units..I will write here how the story ends!😉 Defender 110 SE I6 D250 23MY
