" I'd like to be able to park up, get out of the car and then raise it to max height whilst it's parked and lower it again "
Open the rear door (tailgate) and use the buttons. ? ![]() |

Using the tailgate buttons only raises and lowers the rear. If you want to raise the car from outside using the fob, the hazards have to be on and simultaneously pressing and holding the light and tailgate button to lower the vehicle, light and unlock to raise the vehicle, and you can return the vehicle to normal height by pressing lights and unlock.
Auto Terrain Response is very good, but it is a reactive system. It takes less than ten feet for the car to figure out the terrain, but you're better off using the setting best suited to the terrain you're driving over. The LRE instructors that I've spent time with (both here in the US and in the UK) usually prefer to select the most appropriate setting, as it is proactive and the vehicle is already pre-loaded to what you're driving over. Auto Terrain Response is excellent for road use, especially in inclement weather or if road conditions are constantly changing. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟏𝟎 𝐒 𝐏𝟑𝟎𝟎 (Pangea Green over Acorn/Lunar) 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐒 (Dolomite Silver over Black/Bordeaux Red) 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟕 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐇𝐒𝐄 𝐋𝐮𝐱𝐮𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐢𝟔 (Aintree Green over Vintage Tan/Ebony) - Gone 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟏 𝐋𝐑𝟒 𝐇𝐒𝐄 𝟓.𝟎 (Ipanema Sand over Almond/Arabica) - Gone Last edited by CincyRovers1 on 27th Feb 2025 3:30pm. Yes, I stand corrected. That is for coupling the tow hitch.
Just been out to the vehicle, have engine running, press the 'up' switch on centre panel by gear stick. Press it several time until max overall height is reached. stop engine, get out of vehicle and lock the door, walk away. That works on mine. |

LR Nuts - Are you able to trigger the car to go from 'raised' to 'extra high' by pressing buttons in the cab?
I remember there's 2 extra high modes - with the maximum being an 'extra extra high mode' which is only triggered when the car feels the wheels have gone light (either floating or grounded out). |

Off Road 2 height (the highest you can manually trigger) is automatically selected when you raise the vehicle. It only lowers to Off-Road height 1 when you go over 25 mph and it stays at height 1 until you press the raise button again. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟏 𝐃𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟏𝟎 𝐒 𝐏𝟑𝟎𝟎 (Pangea Green over Acorn/Lunar)
