At 12 years old, Orxy got a well-deserved carbon clean - look at how much gunk had accumulated there 😳
Superb job by Carel and his team at Racing Technik - https://www.racingtechnik.com/! 😃 That workshop is so clean, it would make Ron Dennis blush Before photos of the intake ports: ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge After: ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged ![]() ![]() Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |

Looks very clean indeed. Did they put new seals on the inlet manifold as well? If not, they should have!
Good that you paid someone to do it, as it's a very messy job that I am not keen to do a again. https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic75463.html /Mat |

Mine's on 87,500km.
But it is 12 years old, and over the past 2 years it has only done very short trips. -- 2010 Defender Puma 90 + BAS remap + Alive IC + Slickshift + Ashcroft ATB rear 2015 Range Rover Sport V8 Supercharged ![]() ![]() Defender Puma Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zZ1en9 Discovery 4 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zXrtKO Range Rover/Sport L320/L322/L494 Workshop Manual: https://bit.ly/2zc58JQ |

Thank you Naks
My Puma (2.4 tdci) I've had from 6K, it's now approaching 55K and shows no sign of being 'choked' but I suspect it's on its way (like all Diesels) and the change is probably gradual so difficult to really spot. I did my Wife's Freelander 1 / BMW 2.0 TDI Engine (that's been near faultless) at 100K 'as it was a bit lumpy' and what a difference, somewhat messy job and a long time to loosen the build up from within the manifold but really worth it, this engine is approaching 150K now so 'note to self' don't wait too long next time.. ![]() https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic83242.html |
