Cheers Ian..
Yes I've had a Google now..
All my charts show the coarse as 1.75 , and fine as 1.25...the 1.5 pitch doesn't appear , but the books date to the 70's and 80's.. 🫣

I did wonder for a moment if it might be a DIN 7756 VG 12 thread, which is 12.091mm od (min) but VG 12 is much finer pitch at 0.977mm.

M12 x 1.5mm is most likely.

There is no doubt about the pitch now.. I've have the necessary gauges , but didn't realise the 1.5 pitch was a common thread for m12..as it wasn't listed in my (admittedly old ) data..
After ians post i had a google..
The odd thing is even dealers didn't or wouldn't help me with information on a connector...and i was beginning to think it was only ever used for bleeding air, and not checking pressure..

I am going to make up a connector from brass fittings to allow a connection to the test point...
I did manage to lash up a fitting while I was away that allowed a connection and a check of the lp side pressure..
I did think I'd posted it earlier on on this thread but it appears not..🤔😫..
Anyway for anyone interested here is a trace showing from ignition on..if you don't start then the pump will cut out , and restart when the engine is running..
All easily seen in the trace alongside with the lp side fuel pressure to the hp pump..
