Defender td5 lock barrel sleeve

Hi all,

I'm trying to change a knackered lock that probably hasn't worked for ages. I'm really struggling to get the barrel sleeve off the barrell. Can anyone offer any insight / help please???

I’m assuming you are aware that the pin shown in the middle sized section needs to be pushed in.
It looks like a liberal application of plus gas would assist.

England 2005 Defender 110 Td5 XS DCPU Bonatti Grey
As suggested, plenty of Plus Gas, brass wire brush maybe a little bit of gentle heat will have that freed up, mine was in a similar mess.
