Last Thursday I had a test drive in a diesel Grenadier . I thought the engine was responsive and punchy. The steering does not self-centre at low speeds, but after a few miles on country lanes and A roads I found it fine.

I currently drive a 2014 defender 90 and would chop it in for a Grenadier if I had the money. As for costs there are many deals to be had on new and old, just have a look at the internet. The new Discovery starts at circa 70k!

As with many others on this forum I have owed many Defenders a love the old school driving style and think the Grenadier is an excellent replacement.

I think comparing the cost of Grenadier with a Discovery 5 is apples and oranges I’m afraid. The D5 is a 7 seat luxury car with huge equipment level and great off road ability. Whereas the Grenadier has off-road ability. 2011 130 Utility Body
