Hey all, been a while since I've posted here, so hope I'm still in good standing
Anyway, the time has come to sell my Defender as it's proving not to be all that practical for family life. I've owned it from new, so have the details of its entire history. Top level stuff first:
* 2013 Defender XS Double Cab Pickup in Santorini Black
* Only 30,000 miles (still in regular use so may increase by a couple of hundred)
* MOT until September 2025 (no advisories)
* Full service history (most recently looked after by Maltings Off Road, nr Doncaster)
* Re-Waxoyl'd last year
* Full paint correction and ceramic coating at the beginning of January
The truck does have a number of additions (because which ones don't...), externally first:
* 5x Blindo (WMIK) alloy wheels w/ 285/75/16 BFG A/T tyres
* EGR capped off & associated re-map
* Full lockable load bay cover w/ hydraulic lifts
* Rear spare wheel carrier
* Load bay coated with Protectakote textured paint
* Flatdog DRL Bumper
* Light bar w/ CB antennae
* Black Checkerplate to wings & sides
* Custom vintage model badge (purchased on here)
* Edited to add: Full Dynamat soundproofing all round
And on the inside:
* Edited to add: Factory-fitted Premium Seating
* Leather trimmed Momo steering wheel (fcx)
* Lockable steel cubby w/ 2x DIN slots (fcx)
* Trimmed glove box (fcx)
* Pioneer DEH-80PRS head unit (in cubby)
* Focal speakers, amplifier, & custom subwoofer box under rear seats
* CB radio (in cubby)
* Gloss black Double DIN fascia to dash - comes fitted with a 7" touchscreen (not currently wired in, but cables provided to do so)
* X-Eng steering lock shroud
That's obviously all of the good stuff, but there are a few areas that aren't quite perfect:
* Some flaking of paint around the windscreen, and on the wing mirror arms (hopefully have the wing mirrors sorted prior to sale)
* Powder coating is coming away on spare wheel carrier
* Signs of corrosion on some bolts and to rear cross member (do have a full set of stainless steel bolts and will include the remainder of any I don’t use)
* Corrosion to side steps (passenger side will likely need replacing)
Overall the vehicle is in excellent mechanical condition, just slightly less good cosmetically. Have a large file of paperwork going all the way back to the original brochure & order form. Looking online, seems that £33,000-£34,000 is roughly the going rate, so if we say £32,000 that leaves a bit for the next owner to tidy up any of the bits they can’t live with.
I’ve uploaded a selection of exterior photos, just need to give the inside a wipe down to get some snaps of that.
Sure I’ll have missed something there, so please let me know if you have any questions or want any additional photos taking. I’m based in North Notts and do work from home most days, so viewing can be arranged. Also in Doncaster and Leeds regularly too.
