Defender 90 v8 starting issue
Hi landies, i’ve recently rebuilt my auto gearbox of my 3.9 v8 90 but i’ve got starting issues after that.

It just cranks but cant fire up the engine, the fuel pump runs when i turned the key, i tried to check the voltage of the ignition coil connection and there is no voltage there, then i jumped a lead directly from the battery to the ignition coil and it fires up straight away when i turned the key, that’s why i though its a ignition switch issue and relaced with a new one but no joy,

anyone has an idea about it? Many thanks!

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah agree the relay might be the issue, will check the relays and also try a cable from the ignition switch to the ignition coil and see if it works.

Will post an update after that
