Manual transmission
I have no interest in an auto transmission vehicle.
Given this engine has manual transmissions on other platforms, how hard would it be to convert?

France 2002 Defender 110 Td5 DCPU Chawton White
It would be hard. Apart from fitting the gearbox would also need to have all the electronics to play nice, which with traction control, stability control etc would probably not be easy or cheap. Also I would imagine that:

- It would void any of the warranty on a ~75-125k car
- It would probably invalidate the type approval (registration and insurance), not sure how that works in Australia, but in France it would illegal but you would probably be able to fly under the radar, hoping you don't get caught at an MOT or at some sort of post-accident investigation/insurance claim.
