Personally I would leave put the valve. Then engine running and eebasto running means hot heater quicker. Mine are plumbed to heater then a heat exchanger for a shower then back to block.
I run mine 10mins prior to an engine start Oct through to Mar. And sometimes first ten mins of a journey. Don't suffer 2.4 whist smoke start up then. One of my m57s has a thermo top C too mounted same configuration. Tbh m57 warms quickly so webasto is good for a pre warm on cold start but not needed when engine running. Heater and engine warm much quicker than my 2.4s. Les, your attention to detail will mean it will be a top job and super over engineered, especially electrically. So yep I'll buy it. Do you have a line in the sand for it being a runner. Have you upgraded brakes? Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |

I'm waiting on props from Gwyn as for some reason using my 200Tdi chassis position for GB mounts I'm 30mm back from where it should be .......
So nothing and I mean nothing fits without being a tad stretched at the front with Puma Prop or to long at back with 200 one Engine wise it cant go any further forward and turbo actuator would hit the power steering box so dunno Running it on stands the 8HP shifts as it should I have standard TD5 Rad in at mo as Alisport one took 9 months to get so its still in the box as its too buddy cold to replace it all wanting to fit Davies EWP150 as aux pump, I have just in case with the 8hp and 1.1 it revs a bit low on motorway but cant decide top hose like you have or bottom hose (any pics of yours ?) other than that front eyebrows to go on, along with bonnet and a bit of general tidying up Brake wise I changed calipers to 48mm 110 with stainless piston front and rear and upgraded to twin servo - hoping this will be ok so still a little bit to do and then teething problems no doubt |

sounds likes it coming along well then.
Have you bench tested the stat you have fitted, its worth knowing what temp it opens at and how much it opens. should be 88 and 12mm ish. EWP i can take pics yes. mine is top hose with the power to it coming from thermo switch in the top hose so if thermostat is closed it wont run and then it only runs off the controller when temp hits certain figure. Brake wise, cant comment on a 130 that is heavy so upgraded calipers and discs. a year prior to to engine swap. your adaptor is far deeper than mine hence prop issue i suspect. Have you swapped the PAS box pipe around to give more turbo clearance? Cheers James 110 2012 XS Utility 130 2011 M57 bespoke Camper 90 2010 Hardtop 90 M57 1988 Hardtop |
