Hello
This is purely and 100% just for looks, I love the look of the 1 tonne wheel for the 'deep dish' and think they would look great in limestone on my Series 3 Couple of questions. 1) Will they fit? With what size tyre 2) Without power steering will I be able to turn the wheels LAND ROVER Series forward control 1-Ton Tubeless Steel Rims 6.5 X 16 DA3704 https://www.paddockspares.com/da4951-8x16-...eless.html |

I've just noticed,
When I click on the link and look at these again they are 8 x 16" NOT 6.5 x 16" so I guess this makes a big difference to the tyre size? another link to the same wheels https://www.sp-4x4.com/DA2694_8_x_16_Steel...da2694.htm so the part code is DA2694 |

I know someone who had those one-ton rims fitted to their Series Land Rover (a Series 2, FWIW), and they look absolutely gorgeous! “A Land Rover immobilized is a moral defeat for the driver and bad publicity for the vehicle, […] it's up to you to do justice to your Land Rover!” - Land Rover Driving Technique.

The one-ton and 2B FC vehicles used 6.5" wide rims with a 20.6 offset, so dimensionally the same as a genuine "Wolf" rim. These will fit any Series vehicle (although there are some differences such as stud hole diameter to be mindful of). There are some other offsets of the FC rims used on 2A and very early 2B vehicles, but most of the "FC" or "one-ton" rims available today for less than a King's ransom are 20.6mm.
The one-ton and FC vehicles all ran on 9.00x16 tyres, which are fractionally narrower but significantly taller than a 235/85R16 tyre - they are actually taller than a 285/75R16 by about 1.1/2" on diameter, and even a 255/85R16 by about 1" on diameter. It is unlikely that you could run 9.00x16 tyres on a series vehicle without suspension modifications (remember that the one-ton had extended spring hangers to give it a lift). The one-tons were not known for manoeuvrability and the tightness of their turning circle! I doubt that you could run an 8" wide rim on any series vehicle without modifications, I think a lift and extended arches/wing cutting would be involved. I am happy to be proved wrong on this though! |

203’s are super rare and most sought after.
204’s don’t make that sort of money, in fact I have a set of for I havn’t been able to sell at the last few sales. |

New tubeless one ton 6.5 rims are available, that’s why the market for originals has died, it’s just that some sellers on eBay don’t realise it.
I’ll try to find a link. |

2B rims are a different offset, I think the maths work out a ET1, although close enough to call them ET00. You can buy ET00 Wolf style rims for sensible money these days. |

Couple of points... 1. You've posted a picture of a Series with the wheels you want, then asked if they fit a Series.... 2. It's Ton, not Tonne. The latter is metric. 3. The picture looks more like 2B rims to me. Difficult to tell from a photo though. 2B rims are silly silly prices. In fact One ton rims are too these days. I bought my One Ton rims for £25/rim from Vasses a number of years ago. Shame you can't do this any longer. 4. The rims in the link you shared are not One Ton or 2B rims. They are a Land Rover look alike with a deep offset. But they are also 8" wide instead of 6.5" which will mean some tyres won't fit as well on them. BFG state max of 7.0" for a 7.50 x 16 tyre. If you are on smaller tyres they also probably won't technically fit. A 235/85 is also only rated to 7.5" according to BFG. You'd likely need to step up to a 255 or 265 section width. If you are looking at genuine One Ton/2B rims, remember they are tubed. You MUST run a tube in such rims as it is dangerous without. Although many modern tyres do not work well with tubes sadly. I have some of these: https://4x4tyres.co.uk/product/16-x-6-5-tu...black-et0/ 16 x 6.5 so will fit the narrower tyres better but with the same ET00 offset. |

If you are after the wide more stout look, you could also consider fitting spacers. They are readily available and affordable on the various supplier websites.
