It turns on the automatic climate control. When Auto is activated, the fan speed and air distribution are controlled automatically and set to the desired temperature. A/C is also on to prevent the windows from fogging up, even if the heat is on.

Also the AC button has 2 functions. Does max cold AC too if you hold it down iirc

Itโs bugged me since I picked up my car a few months ago! The iGUIDE marks them both as โ17โ and so they both do exactly the same as each other; Iโd love to know why they chose to put two rather than just one! 2025MY Defender 90 D250 X-Dynamic HSE | Santorini Black with Black Pack

Itโs for the climate control for driver and passenger independently, also if you have rear climate it will be a 4 zone climate control.
