So no terrible horror stories about Champion then?

In answer to your question, No, but thats because the majority of us have no experience of Champion and are telling you to go with Goodwinch Thumbs Up Richard

Either a 90, 110 or 130.

What about a TDS 9.5i on a BakRak? This could service my needs and then I can look to get a nicer winch bumper in The New Year?

So, I've ordered a Goodwinch 9.5tds and a Bakrak for this job. Will shop around next year for a winch bumper.

I've got a champion 9500 and it's been good, let me down once with a loose contactor, they are very slow but do pull very well. The finish is a bit ropey and faded fast, also some corrosion. All in all a cheap and cheerful winch. Original Member Pie n Pea Club.

do make sure you waterproof it though, otherwise you're looking at a seized drum
