No answers - I see. I'm wondering if anybody actually mounted Bridgestone Duelers 7.50 R 16 on a Defender ??

My experience with dueller was shocking… 20 Years ago in my First Freelander. Dangerous tyres to be gentle. Along time ago… sure they have grown in quality…I moved then to yokohama, they were cheap but highly regarded outside Europe. Excellent Brand, geolander 015 at the moment under the Defender. The only all terrain tyre I could find with 3 peaks printed on the side wall.

You're right. The 3 peaks snow flake made me consider the Bridgestone Dueler. In theory, winter tyres 3PMS are a big subject on the .continent.
But in practice, you just take a pair of chaines with you and you're conform with législation. In France at least. And this law just applies in some regions with lots of snow - not in costal areas ... I'm a bit surprised that the UK still adopts new EU laws (after Brexit). Because this one (3PMS) is 3 years old ![]() |

It’s not Uk requirement. I travel to Europe quite a lot. That’s why I need the 3 peaks. Sometimes police through Europe can be nasty when they see a British plate…

It's just Germany + Italy
In France, they won't punish just remind And in Switzerland they have no laws for winter tyres ... Finally, police can't control. It just saves money of insurance companies. |
