A JVC is not factory fit in a Puma, so the sun isn’t “tied” to the JVC.
Any head unit with “sub” RCA outputs (2x phono sockets) will be ok. The remote switch on output required should also be standard on all head units. Martin 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |

Thanks for the reply Martin. Apologies - it's an Alpine unit.
It's definitely factory-fit, the truck came with the 'upgraded sound' pack. You make a loom for the factory-fit sub, would that be what I need in addition to the ISO convertor? |

Ok, same applies though. Use the wiring from behind the old head unit (phono adapter loom), and a new adapter loom from 2012+ Defender to the new head unit. You probably have to go 2012+ to ISO then use the ISO to head unit cable your new head unit comes with. If you buy a new Alpine you can use the factory adapter loom to the head unit. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top 2015 D90 XS SW |
