Cruise Control - which brand?
Evening all.

Would like to add CC to my 110 DCPU 2.4

What brand/model is considered the best version?

Looking for something that looks OE, is sensibly priced and is a relatively straightforward DIY fit.

Who's got what? Happy? Any issues problems? Other thoughts?

Thanks in advance

Thumbs Up Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

I've got the Mobile Centre one. Had it quite a long time now and use it a lot. It's been 100% reliable. It was easy enough to fit, but you do need to be confident enough to tap into speed signal wire and clutch switch wiring.

Most people install the control stalk on the right of the column, but that means it is upside down. I installed it on the left so it was the right way up, yu just need to take more time to get the positioning right so it doest interfere with anything.

In operation it has one odd characteristic, but you get used to it. On slight downhill stretches, where you might very gently feather throttle, it seems not quite sensitive enough and can annoyingly pulse the throttle trying to maintain the chosen speed. It's just a bit irritating really, but you can either drive round it by applying a bit of throttle manually, or just knock the cruise off as you get to know when it might do it. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS

Thanks Bluest. Will give it a look. The descent control might be an issue, given where I live. Some of my descents can be tens of KMs long. Shocked Monsieur Le Grenadier

It only seems to happen on descents requiring a very gentle throttle. In full overrun, no throttle needed it's fine. I'm probably making it sound worse than it is, but it does irritate on occasion. The system is actually made by Liteon and I think Mobile Centre just add in the Puma specific pedal loom and fitting instructions. 2007 110 TDCi Station Wagon XS
