Earth points on bulkhead
Anyone know if there is an earth point on the interior side of the front bulkhead on defender 2007 Tdci? any diagrams would be greatly appreciated.

MacFrank, do you by any chance have the same images as this one, for all the earthing points on a 2011 2.4 DCPU, or at the very least those that would relate directly to the headlight/side lights/indicators?

It would be hugely appreciate. I have a dim Driver's side headlight when on dip (they're halo), and the two wonky lights when on main beam. When on main beam, indicator (specifically when turning right), doesn't work, only works on side lights. And the horning sounds like a fog-horn rather than a healthy toot. So bad, that I tooted some friends yesterday (they were walking) and they didn't hear me. Whistle Rolling Eyes Monsieur Le Grenadier

What I can try is to lookup the related ground points in a 2012 wiring diagram (the connector shown above is also from a 2012 connector library, so hopefully they haven't changed significantly).

So: headlamps (main & dipped) and sidelights go to C0550 plug which has a ground point on the other end. That one is shown in the above image.

Indicators:
RH front & side --> C0550, too
LH front & side --> C0550 also it seems

Horn is also on C0550, so it seems this is a common denominator for your problems?

LH & RH rear indicator --> C0558 on the side of the transfer box
(probably not related to your problems; also connected to fuel pump, blower motor and the like)

Ground point(s) on the engine side of the bulkhead go to the the ECU mounted there on TD4s, so some differences to the TD5 ground point diagram.

Thanks MacFrank, that’s hugely useful. Fortunately I’ve got to get in behind the centre console to fit a new washer nozzle, so shall check the earth at the same time. Thumbs Up Monsieur Le Grenadier
