I got a black screen in my dash when I started using Pivi to navigate. Up until then the map was in the dash but I was using Google maps via CarPlay. Now nothing.

Hmm. Does the dash display show other things if you change it show Media Player or Driver Assistance instead of navigation?

Google Maps or Waze doesn't work in the dash. Only Pivi navigation.

Also Apple Maps with the latest updates. I'm using Google Maps on the screen with Apple Maps (which I don't like) on the dash until they eventually admit my Nav Unit needs replacing. Defender D350 X-Dynamic HSE 110 MY25 Carpathian Grey

Everything else can be displayed - radio, 4x4, fuel consumption etc. It's a bit odd. Can use Carplay ok and the Pivi map will display on the dash. Confused Eiger Grey MY23 D250 SE with bits. Known as Noddy.

If you have an iPhone, CarPlay displays Apple Maps in the centre IP, if you have an Android phone it will display Google Maps using the Google equivalent of CarPlay. Current vehicle: 2020 Defender 110S

The part came in for my 2022 and they replaced the whole receiver unit under warranty per instructions from Land Rover. Very expensive part at $3500 but they covered it. All works perfectly now.

They mentioned the part number had been updated, so likely some running fixes were implemented. There is also a "core charge" for the old part, so they are probably doing a smaller repair on an individual card or something and putting them back into cars.

Do you mind sharing an image of the number(s) for the part(s) that the dealer replaced? Better yet, a photo of a portion of the work details.

I have a 2021 D90 First Edition with similar issue. When attempting to use built-in Nav, it states " Please insert USB drive containing map files".

Using the latest map files on a properly formatted USB A drive failed with the 0% message followed by the failure and try to reinsert USB drive pop up error message.

Since I have another month or so of the factory warranty, I'd like to get the issue fixed.

Thanks!

Took 3 visits to the dealers and a video conference with JLR tech to fix mine. It's a quick fix if they just replace the Nav unit but they wouldn't do that until all other options were tried. In the end I think they re-flashed the firmware in my Nav Unit but the details I managed to get from the dealer were sketchy.

It should be a pretty well known issue by now and they should have a decent repair scheme worked out. I'd get it reported ASAP. If you can show them the fault before the Warranty expires then they have to honor it as a warranty repair. Defender D350 X-Dynamic HSE 110 MY25 Carpathian Grey
