Draining any wet battery completely flat will very likely kill it. Depending on how low a battery has been drained some can be resurrected with a smart charger with battery reconditioning capability. However to do that many would need to be partially charged with an old style conventional charger to give the battery a level of charge before the smart charger recon will commence working. Even then some / a large amount of damage will have been done and the battery life will be degraded / significantly degraded and manifest that damage in the colder months when the greatest most consistent loads are placed upon it.
In essence I don’t think it’s an issue with the Varta LED95, I strongly suspect you would have had the same outcome with any wet battery after draining completely flat. |
