I use the StopLock one and its stores nicely in the passenger footwell when driving. I wedge the black/lock end between the cubby and passenger seat and the yellow end rests between the bulkhead and my rubber mats in the footwell. Its easy to grab and does not rattle.
On the security side its well rated and bright yellow so stands out 2015 Puma 2.2 XS Utility Station Wagon - 2024 - Present Previous LR 2004 TD5 90 XS Station Wagon - 2019-2024 2003 TD5 90 G4 LE - 2009-2010 1990 Ninety 6.2 V8 Station Wagon - 2006-2009 |

I had my old D4 stolen off the driveway in 2021. I now use the yellow disklock on my Defender when it’s on the driveway and I’ve got a stoplock for when I’m out and about cos it’s less cumbersome but still secure. Also had the Ghost 2 fitted.

I can't help but think that someone who has gone to the lengths of getting all the gear to break in and start the vehicle (laptop, aerials, illegal cloning software etc), plus an international shipping network, and has then scoped out your neighbourhood to find your car.. are clearly not opportunists, they're professionals, stealing to order. As such, I can't believe an off-the-shelf wheel lock is really going to deter them too much - considering all the other lengths they've already gone to. Skeleton keys, gallium, drilling locks, lever bars, angle grinders, cutting the wheel etc.
These lads figure it out without any experience in a matter of minutes: https://youtu.be/4H0OG990bgY?si=ajlK_76Il59jiNjH |

100%. Secure the key. Secure the car. Without the key you can only steal a Defender with the latest fob and update by lifting it onto a low loader. Anything else is for the drivers peace of mind and of little interest to thieves. No-one steals a Defender on “the off change opportunity”. Since the updates no-one steals a defender at all unless they have your key. |
