Just goes to show common sense, is no longer common.
Imagine if they skidded off the edge and rolled multiple times, which is easy in ice and snow whatever vehicle it is. Mind you the local plod my way got the odd E car, and that isn’t overly bright either. The trouble is some roads are often put down as closed when they are open to access by over zealous councils etc. So these days people often ignore the road closure signs due to their over use. Where they police signs or barriers or both? or just a road closed sign? No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 Last edited by custom90 on 4th Jan 2025 9:42pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Pity, should have left them and let natural selection take care of the problem! I guess that it is a similar problem to that seen when there is extensive flooding, when everyone with a 4x4 thinks that they are invincible. It will only get worse as long as we cultivate a society in which personal responsibility is actively discouraged. No doubt those morons will now be wondering who they can sue! |

They’ll probably sue each other or their friends.
The thing is, people seem to think 4x4 will go everywhere, indeed it will most places, but perhaps not always where the driver wanted and just because 4x4 has extra traction, doesn’t mean it is invincible in stopping. Even a 40tonne Artic will slide on sheet ice with no control, once the traction is gone it’s gone, only momentum will then take over. Refuse trucks often end up all over the place with black ice. No Guts, No Glory. 🇬🇧🏴🏴🏴🇮🇪🇺🇸⛽️🛢️⚙️🧰💪 |

They should buy a set of snow tyres if they're going to drive on snow.

You just know there were bunch of Fiat Panda’s, RAV’s, Yeti’s and Berlingo’s hooning past them having a whale of a time, and still back at home in time for tea. WARNING.
