Air Vents for FRONT Side Windows
just spotted these on eBay....... from china.

for those of us who have the original Nakatanenga Air Vents for REARSide Windows, these may complement the FRONT windows ?
My main concern is will the vents match the Nakatanenga vents in alignment and quality. also the REAR window vents are around £90 the pair, our China friends want a lot mor than that !!

What would be the purpose of fitting those. Why not just fit wind deflectors and open the windows a little.

Yes, I have the wind deflectors on all four cabin windows, but I also have the metal vents on the two rear doors.

The deflectors are a BritPart bought through JohnCraddocks / eBay site. got them 1 yr ago at £45 for a set of 4. Secured by 3M tape. Never had a problem with them. Thumbs Up

I use the rear nakatenenga vents when camping to keep the condensation down and found they work really well - but wouldn't leave them in as a permanent fixture.

I'm not sure about other's experience, but I find fitting the basic rear window nakatanenga vents quite fiddly and a little worrying to slot them in and hope I've fitted correctly as I wind the window up.. Once they're in, they're great, but having installed them 3-4 times now, it always gives me a little anxiety as I wiggly them in diagonally, force them into the seals and hope the glass slides into the slot correctly without bending or cracking anything. (anyone else!?).

Adding that additional slanted section for the front window looks like it might complicate matters even further.. and I would be a little worried about quality control from lesser manufacturers combined with likely very expensive windows and mechanisms.

I do like the fact that they add some mosquito protection - beyond simple wind deflector. I added a finer grade mesh over the existing mesh to try to keep the smaller midges/no-see-ums out.
