United Kingdom 2001 Defender 90 2.5 TD HT Masai Red
Coolant question
Hi

I have a TD5 90 defender and noticed today the coolant level in the expansion vessel is low - what is the right coolant and mix i should be using to top this up ?

registration year - 2001

Personally, if it's just a couple of inches in the header tank then I would top up to level with tap water and monitor the situation over the coming weeks/months. No point throwing antifreeze into it if you are going to have to drain it for repairs shortly anyway and that amount of antifreeze dilution is not going to make any significant difference.
