I shouldn't laugh but sitting here listening to radio2 some one in the Outer Hebrides has just informed Steve Wright that her shed and contents have just blown past her front window!!!!

I believe the fastest ever low-level wind in the UK was recorded by the radar station on the northern coast of Unst (northernmost island of Shetland) at 180mph, shortly before the whole thing was blown into the sea

Yep, very stormy up here today aswell. At least three of our trees down - coniferous. Not much of a root system under them. Hoping not to have one down across the laneway in the morning! Chainsaw at the ready! 1982 88" 2.25 diesel
