RDX Big Power Fanny Interior Blower Fan Motor
A friend bought this to my attention. The heater on the 90 is alright, if well maintained and adjusted but could always be better.

Has anyone come across this? Anyone bought one and fitted it?

I'm sceptical that the description doesn't contain much technical information, especially pertaining to current draw. I've messaged the seller to see if they can give me any more information.

yep done 2 now. they fit fine,

german motor on an adaptor plate

as you say a good rad flush and sealing all the tiny holes helps air flow, as does new foam seals .
some folk insulate the heater box but ive not done that yet.

we did find that the wires can be the wrong way round on the plug on the 1st one we fitted but the latest one was fine.

it blows much hard and we have bought an anemometer to compare it to a std one soon

Funny, there was something about it on here a couple of days ago, with a link to the eBay listing. I’ve used the seller quite a bit with no problems, but not tried any questions. I’d be interested in the results. Sounds like a good idea to me, but how does it run faster? Different type of motor? 1983 110 automatic OM606

Thanks for the updates.

It seems it’s the same as the fan used for the Freelander 2 / Volvo S60, there is an interesting thread on the LR4x4 forum in which people have used that along with a 3D printed adaptor plate for far less than what RDX want for it.
