CarPlay has stopped announcing messages
Since I've had the car (April this year), CarPlay has happily read out messages when they arrive while I'm driving.
But it's now stopped and I noticed in the CarPlay Settings app in Pivi that by default 'Announce Notifications' is set to off every time I start the car. I can slide it on but it's annoying to have to do it every time.
So, is this by design as a result of a Pivi or Apple update? Anyone else have the same problem?
Other points to note are that this is a newer phone than the original but it has been paired successfully and everything else seems to work. Also, it's a work phone and it could be our Device Management software that is doing this.

I found a setting that said "Remember Last Setting on Power Up" or something like that for CarPlay Announcements. I think it was near the same menu for switching announcements on and off. Defender D350 X-Dynamic HSE 110 MY25 Carpathian Grey

Currently waiting for my wife’s D350, but have experienced the same in my BMW.

Just received a new iPhone with newest iOS and lost all the message announcements unless I had the screen in CarPlay as opposed to Sat nav or similar. Went to BMW and they couldn’t work it out, then they searched online and found lots complaining that it was the latest iOS update.

Hope Apple fix in an update soon.
